Here’s one for the bizarre-but-strangely-endearing file. Robocup is a hub for robotic geeks who convene to talk about well, robotics. At the recent RoboCup championships (held last week in Bremen, Germany), Australia came 1st and 2nd. But wait, there’s more! The bizarre thing is that Robocup and its members are on a mission to develop a team of fully humanoid robots that can win against the world cup soccer team by 2050.
